SSR products are being used in systems designed for Vessel Tracking system, Port Security systems, Range Safety, Waterways and Offshore Platforms, as well as security for High Risk Facilities. SSR solutions are used by the Department of Homeland Security ports, the United States Navy ports, and the United States Coast Guard ports.

We have the ability and experience to design a well planned system configuration proper for your port security requirements, including identifying appropriate port security radars, port security cameras and high level port security system architecture.

• Correlation of multiple radars and other Radar port security sensors (Sonar, AIS, etc) to provide a composite operating picture

• Ability to slew cameras to radar or AIS tracks which will increase your port security to a much higher level

• Ability to provide Common Operating Picture's at any location on a network or Internet connection to unlimited users. We now have wireless capabilities to view port security right on your laptop!

• Proven expertise in marine radar tracking and radar video distribution for Port Security

Border Surveillance

A Truck, Van, or Sports Utility Vehicle can also be utilized to provide a rapid deployment Mobile Radar Platform for special drug interdiction operations or for temporary shore-based coastal surveillance. Currently, the US Army and other port security Departments utilize SSR Engineering's port security radar processors and display systems for this purpose.

Coastal Surveillance

At each remote radar site, PC-based Radar Processors (PC-RP) control the Radar Transceiver, and output the radar data via a TCP/IP network port. The data on the network can be augmented with live-camera, high-resolution video using Camera Manager and video encoders. The combined radar and video data is then transmitted to the Command Center using a landline or wireless data link. At the Command Center, use of a Radar System Tracker or Composite Tracker allows tracks from multiple Radar Systems to be merged. Multiple-radar coverage of the same target enhances pickup of weak signals and allows a target to be tracked seamlessly as it proceeds from one radar coverage zone to the next along a section of coastline for port security. If desired, multiple Remote Display Operator Position (RDOP) units at the Command Center can allow multiple operators to assess the overall port security radar picture, with each operator zooming on a area of interest. Each RDOP support two display screens, which can be used for Radar or Video incorporated with port security.

High Security Risk Facilities

• Ability to slew cameras to radar or AIS tracks for port security

• Ability to provide Common Operating Picture's at any location for port security on a network or Internet connection to unlimited users

• Proven expertise in marine radar tracking and radar video distribution for increased port security

• Ability to operate in remote location and have radar control from another location (Master)

SSR solutions can range from a stand-alone system to a multi-tier system with a large number of remote radars, radar processors, system trackers, cameras, AIS, and other devices, all of which connect over a standard network. SSR solutions use common commercial radars such as Raytheon, Sperry, Terma and Furuno. In addition to commercial radars, SSR Engineering has solutions for most of the Military's shipboard and IFF radars.
